Whānau Groups and Hui Ako

Our school has four Whānau groups:

  • Korimako (yellow)
  • Kōtuku (white)
  • Kererū (green)
  • Pūkeko (purple).

Each Whānau has 2 Whānau leaders, 1 year 9 support and an SLT oversight. Their job is to oversee and take care of the entire Whānau.

Students meet their Hui Ako teacher twice a week for 30 minutes this year. Hui Ako teachers develop important plans with students to achieve goals for the year including mastering  learning in each subject area and developing strengths in the Key Competencies. The Hui Ako teacher is the main point of contact for parents with any questions and information.
