Itinerant Music Tuition

Aotea College provides group music lessons for all students who take music as a subject. Each lesson is usually 30 minutes in duration and students are welcome to nominate their primary instrument to learn when they arrive at year 9 or continue with lessons if they already have an instrument.

Currently we offer lessons in the following disciplines:

  • Guitar
  • Piano
  • Voice
  • Drums

We also offer lessons on Trombone, Saxophone and Trumpet, but these lessons are paid for privately by parents as they are individual lessons.

We also run a number of large and small vocal ensembles who compete nationally each year. Students do not have to be enrolled in music as a subject to join these ensembles.
