As a College we are committed to keeping you, our College community, as informed as possible about our plans for keeping our community safe whilst also remaining open for teaching and learning.
While we have started this term well in terms of the number of students attending school we have had an increase in the number of staff away sick and a reduction in our pool of wonderful relievers who have played a large role in supporting us to be able to stay operating normally this far into the year.
As a result of this we as a school have been placed in a position where we will need to roster home a certain year level for one day this week to ensure we can keep the rest of the school running to the standard required.
Friday, the 29th of July, all year 10 students will be rostered home to work on individual programmes. They will all have work set online and will not require teacher support. Year 10 students have experience already in digital and distance learning and this will be an important day for them to practise and keep those skills current.
We have made a deliberate decision not to interrupt our senior students in their efforts with NCEA and preparation for upcoming exams in weeks ahead.
Thank you for your continued support.
