Covid-19 Alert Level 2
Feb 16, 2021

With the move to Level 2 yesterday we would like to remind all parents of the expectations and measures in place to keep everyone safe and well.

The expectation is that with the exception of some students who are sick, all students will be attending at Alert Level 2.

Parents and caregivers need to notify the school, if their child won’t be attending school in person when Alert Level 2 commences.

Students must stay at home if they are sick with COVID-19, or unwell generally.

Students must stay at home if they need to self-isolate, as required by the  Ministry of Health.

Parents/Caregivers need to have a conversation with the principal if they have a child with serious underlying medical conditions that is not well controlled. Parents can come on-site but physical distancing of 2 metres is recommended to align with public health measures outside the school grounds. Parents and caregivers who come on-site need to sign in at reception and use the Covid tracer app.

We are asking parents and caregivers to do drop-offs outside the gate where practicable.

Queues at the school office (for visitors) – will be managed in a similar way to the systems dairies and supermarkets used (one in and one out, or marking 2 metre spacing on the ground).

Good hygiene practices will continue to be a priority at Alert Level 2 as the best way to minimise the potential spread of COVID-19. The and Ministry of Health websites are a good source of information including:

   -Hand washing

   -Cough and sneeze etiquette

   -Cleaning surfaces

Symptoms to monitor for are any respiratory symptoms such as a cold, a head cold, blocked ears, cough, sneezing, chills, and a fever. Anyone with those symptoms should stay home and contact Healthline for advice, which may include getting tested for COVID-19 as a precaution.

Anyone with these respiratory symptoms should not enter the school.

If you have had any recent changes to your address or contact details we are asking that you notify the school office as soon as possible.

Ngā mihi
